Rivard will discuss financial fraud protection from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 27, in the Blue Hills Lecture Hall in Ritzinger Hall. The presentation also will be livestreamed at ricelaketv.com.

Bank fraud is a serious issue that can cause financial losses for individuals, businesses and financial institutions. Rivard will provide an overview of effective fraud prevention practices for consumers and organizations.

Rivard began her banking career more than 11 years ago as a teller and has worked diligently to earn the trust of consumers and business clients. In addition to her knowledge of fraud protection practices, she has gained experience in front-line customer service, back-office management and branch operations.

The Thursdays at the U weekly series is free and open to the public thanks to support from the UW-Eau Claire – Barron County Foundation. Neither seating reservations nor parking permits are needed for in-person attendees.

Although in-person attendance is encouraged, most talks in the series are livestreamed. They also are archived and can be watched later on the Thursdays at the U webpage.

The next lecture in the series will be April 3, with Jessica Michna presenting “Mrs. Charles Dickens.”
