Lee and Mary Graese, founders of Northstar Bison in Cameron, are the featured speakers for the Nov. 6 Thursdays at the U presentation at the University of Wisconsin – Barron County.
Lee and Mary Graese
They will present “Northstar Bison: Hobby to Business” from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Blue Hills Lecture Hall in Ritzinger Hall. The presentation also will be livestreamed at ricelaketv.com.
The Graeses will discuss how their shared passion for fitness and nutrition eventually led to the founding of Northstar Bison. What began as a hobby farm with two bison has grown into a thriving, sustainable business with many wholesale and retail customers.
The Thursdays at the U weekly series is free and open to the public thanks to support from the UW-Eau Claire – Barron County Foundation. Neither seating reservations nor parking permits are needed for in-person attendees.
Although in-person attendance is encouraged, most talks in the series are livestreamed. They also are archived and can be watched later on the Thursdays at the U webpage.
The next lecture in the series will be Nov. 13, with Toni Mattson presenting “Where the Battle Ends and the Healing Begins.”
